How does TechRetriever work?

After registering, you will tell TechRetriever what your usual internet home page is. You will then be given a personal code to use as your home page. This code tells TechRetriever your device's IP address, then instantly redirects you to your usual home page.

What is an IP address?

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a numerical ID that is assigned to devices that connect to the internet. This address is determined by the internet service provider being used to connect to the internet.

How can my IP address help me recover a lost or stolen device?

If your computer is lost or stolen, enter your email and password on the Find My Devices page. If it has connected to the internet recently, you can report its current IP address to the local police. They can then use this number to determine exactly where in the world your device has connected to the internet. Also be sure to concact us at info@techretriever.com so we can help you with the process!
